Na Leo Pumehana, is considered by many in the Bay Area to be one of the most talented, entertaining Hawaiian music bands in Northern California. Since the creation of our band in 1995, we have performed at many large public venues like Jack London Square in Oakland for the Big Island Visitor’s Bureau, Pier 39 in San Francisco for the Winter Festival, and the Priory Basilica in Hawaii for a private wedding.
We have also played for many private and corporate sponsored functions throughout the Bay Area, Huntington Beach, and San Diego, as well as in some of the finer restaurants like the Hukilau Restaurants in San Jose and San Francisco, Tiki Toms Restaurant in Walnut Creek and Oakland, and in resorts and hotels in California and Hawaii for the last 14 years.
We have continued to support our Hula Halau in Northern California by playing for some of the wonderfully talented kumu hula in the area; Kumu Hula Marlo Caramat, Kumu Hula Clark Bolivar, and Kumu Hula Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, to mention a few.
Bruddah Derrick DeMotta, ukulele player and band leader; Sherrell Lee, vocalist extraordinaire; and our newest member, Gordon Sausa, a wonderful guitar player, comprise Na Leo’s wonderful sound and harmonies.
We hope you will experience one of our performances in the near future!

Phyllis U'ilani, our star dancer and manager, handles all our bookings. We are available for private and corporate events, large or small. Please email U'ilani at naleopumehana@sbcglobal.net or call her at
